Coalition demonstrates strong support from women across Virginia
FALLS CHURCH, VA – Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin announced today the launch of the 'The Women for Glenn' Coalition (W4G). A political outsider and successful businessman with fresh ideas and real-world problem-solving experience, Youngkin will work alongside women to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Partnering with his wife of more than 26 years, Suzanne S. Youngkin, Glenn will rely on the Women for Glenn Coalition to help shape policies that help all Virginians.
“It is not lost on us that during this pandemic, women have had to disproportionally sacrifice for their families,” said Suzanne. “It will take extraordinary, real-world skills to lead Virginia out of the pandemic and rebuild our Commonwealth’s economy. Glenn and I have always prioritized faith and hard work, and I know Glenn will apply both to leading and serving all Virginians.”As governor, Youngkin will address the litany of problems created by the coronavirus pandemic, including opening schools five days a week, the job opportunities for all, restoring large number of jobs lost, and revitalizing economic growth and health care preparedness. Suzanne and Glenn are also prioritizing the eradication of human trafficking, making health care more affordable for women and their families, and advocating for smart education policies that put students and families first.
“We’re humbled by the many women who are coming together to support Glenn and want to assure them that their voices will be heard,” said Suzanne.
“The support of these incredible Virginia women means so much,” said Glenn. “The past year has been a tough time, with loved ones lost, jobs lost, and a country divided. It will take a new kind of governor, an outsider who is trusted, to bring people together and make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. I so appreciate those who are trusting in me to get the job done, and I’m going to work hard to never let them down."

Glenn and Suzanne founded together The Virginia Ready Initiative to support the training of Virginians whose jobs were impacted by the pandemic. Over 2,000 Virginians have started their journey to be trained for in-demand new careers in technology, healthcare and manufacturing.
Glenn began his successful business career at Carlyle when it was a small firm over 25 years ago. He played an integral role in its growth, becoming one of the top investment firms in the world. Glenn worked his way to become co-CEO. Carlyle employed nearly 2,000 people and managed assets exceeding $230 billion dollars, nearly four times the size of Virginia’s yearly budget. With 75% of its investments in the US, the firm supported hundreds of thousands of American jobs and the retirements of teachers, police officers, firefighters, and countless private sector employees.
