Virginia Wins PAC will ensure Youngkin’s campaign for governor is not a lonely victory
FALLS CHURCH, VA – Conservative Republican business leader and candidate for Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin today announced a long-term, seven-figure commitment and fundraising effort dedicated to electing Republicans up and down the ballot across Virginia in 2021 and future elections.
Youngkin’s investment and fundraising will build a team of local and statewide Republican leaders to restore the Commonwealth, and counter the liberal agenda driven in Virginia by George Soros, who in recent years funded left-wing candidates and efforts aimed at transforming school boards and prosecutor offices.
Youngkin will lead the effort along with his wife Suzanne and a number of conservative allies, and has named advisor Garrison Coward to be Executive Director of Virginia Wins PAC, Youngkin’s operation dedicated to restoring and renewing conservative leadership in the Commonwealth. Virginia Wins PAC will support Republican candidates for every level of government, including local school board, Commonwealth’s attorney, county sheriff, county commissioner, state delegate, state senator, and the U.S. Congress. The effort will help elect the next wave of Republican leaders through a broad base of campaign, media, and financial assistance.
“This is a huge investment in rebuilding the Republican Party in Virginia and fighting back against George Soros’ ideological agenda,” said Youngkin. “Democrats have poured millions of dollars into transforming Virginia, and I can’t sit by and watch while the left runs wild in my home state. Our party has failed to win statewide for over a decade, but I’m going to change that in November. When I’m governor, I will need a new crop of conservative leaders across Virginia working with me to get things done and make our Commonwealth the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
While the Youngkins personally contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican candidates and organizations across the country while Glenn was a senior executive at The Carlyle Group, he was restricted from supporting Virginia’s statewide and local candidates due to work done on behalf of the Virginia Retirement System. Now that he is no longer heading Carlyle, Glenn is able to support Virginia candidates and committed to ensuring his successful campaign for governor is not a lonely victory.
