Glenn Youngkin Commemorates Black History Month

February 1, 2021

FALLS CHURCH, VA – Political outsider, business leader, and candidate for governor Glenn Youngkin released the following statement today commemorating Black History Month:

“Across our country and especially here in Virginia, we’ve been richly blessed by the many achievements of Black Americans. This month is an opportunity to celebrate these blessings and honor significant figures and voices, like the father of Black history, Dr. Carter G. Woodson, who was born right here in Virginia and laid the foundation for Black History Month in 1926. I am so thankful for those who throughout our history sought to ensure that all Americans have equal opportunity to pursue their individual talents and dreams to reach their full potential and bring a new day to Virginia.”
